- Traditional Sparkling
- Savagnin
- McLaren Vale, SA
- Alicia Basa + Mark Warner | Borachio
Wine Description
A very special bottle indeed... a reminder that patience pays off. Hand-harvested in February 2019, pressed directly, settled overnight, and aged for 24 months before bottling in March 2021, this long, gentle élevage shapes its character. Despite the age and extended time on lees, it’s incredibly bright and fresh: fine, delicate bubbles carrying notes of lemon tart, shortbread, and toffee apple. As it opens, it drifts into granny-smith-apple-crumble territory (yum?!)... comforting, layered, and beautifully tied together by that slow, careful maturation.
About the Winemaker
- Non-Traditional Sparkling
- Dolcetto
- King Valley, VIC
- Janelle De Gabriele + Rhen Dodd | Ephemera
Wine Description
Dolcetto means “little sweet one,” but don’t be fooled, this King Valley beauty is all about small, expressive grapes, not sugar. Rhen and Janelle turn it into a pink, pét-nat style frizzante that’s fun and fizzy, but with the quiet elegance Ephemera is known for. There's a gentle hint of sweetness and a spritz that leaves you feeling refreshed and wanting more. Perfect for sparking conversation, lifting a dinner, or lingering with the last few friends at the end of the night.
About the Winemaker
- Light White
- Garganega
- Veneto, IT
- Cristiana + Riccardo Meggiolaro | Meggiolaro
Wine Description
A trip to Verona, anyone? Cristiana Meggiolaro’s 2022 ‘Sarò’ Garganega is beautifully soft and fresh, singing with citrus, apple, and peach. There’s a delicate Venetian charm here, a soft pianissimo that makes it approachable without ever being boring. Light and perfectly balanced, it’s archetypal Garganega - easy-drinking, subtly complex, good length, and just enough acidity to keep you coming back for the next glass.
About the Winemaker
- Light White
- Semillon
- Clare Valley, SA
- Stephanie Toole | Mount Horrocks Wines
Wine Description
The Mount Horrocks Semillon is a Clare Valley classic with a cult following, and it’s easy to see why. Stephanie Toole’s vines struggle on the rocky, low-nutrient Mount Horrocks soils, but that’s exactly what gives this Semillon its focus, depth, and character. The 2024 release is bright yellow-gold, opening with granny smith apple, lemon zest, fresh herbs and delicate florals, underpinned by subtle, textural oak. The palate is crisp yet creamy, overflowing with supple fruit and gentle spice. Clare Semillon at its very best!
About the Winemaker
- Heavy White
- Chardonnay
- Adelaide Hills, SA
- Jess DiGiorgio | Bande Apart
Wine Description
The 2023 Bande Apart Adelaide Hills Chardonnay is all precision and poise. White nectarine and mandarin rind jump at you, with macadamia and a flinty edge that keeps things lively. Sourced from the Peacock Road Vineyard in Oakbank, hand-picked Bernard 95 clone fruit is fermented in old French oak, unfiltered, and crafted with care... just three barrels were made in total. Focused and lingering, it’s a Chardonnay that feels both refined and effortless... classic DiGiorgio style, pure Adelaide Hills joy.
About the Winemaker
- Orange
- Malvasia
- Ningxia, CHI
- Emma Gao | Silver Heights
Wine Description
An explosive orange, Sand Lake Moon gently whacks you with hits of grapefruit, yellow apricot, peach, preserved jasmine, and orange blossom. It's intense, aromatic, and textural… it really feels alive. Whole-bunch fermented in traditional clay pots and aged naturally, it layers silky tannins across the palate, with bright, bold acidity carrying flavours through to a lingering finish that recalls smoky sea breeze and salted plum. A blend of Chardonnay, Gewürztraminer, Malvasia, Moscato Bianco, and Sauvignon Blanc, the grapes are organically and biodynamically grown in Ningxia’s clay and limestone soils.
About the Winemaker
- Orange
- Chardonnay and Cabernet Franc
- McLaren Vale, SA
- Alicia + Pilar Basa | Sister Act
Wine Description
This Sister Act co-ferment is a bit of a beautiful accident. Chardonnay that spent two weeks on skins, all tea-like and textural, before a handful of leftover Cab Franc wandered in mid-ferment and decided to stay. The end result is a bright and cheeky wine, with hits of lime cordial, steeped green tea, orange oil, cranberry, and a gentle herbal thing running underneath it all. It’s vibrant but not shouty, with that soft Chardonnay grip brushing up against the red-berry snap of the Franc. The finish hangs around in this quietly citrus-peel, cool-green-tea way. It’s expressive, unconventional, and very much a “go with the flow” kind of wine... in the best possible sense.
About the Winemaker
- Rosé
- Pinot Noir
- Margaret River, WA
- Eloise Jarvis + Glenn Goodall | La Kooki
Wine Description
La Kooki’s 2024 Blonde Rosé is a pale, punchy little number from Wilyabrup, made from hand-picked Pinot Noir at Thompson Estate, a Sustainable Winegrowing Australia-certified vineyard. Whole-bunch pressed, wild-fermented on full solids in seasoned barriques, and stirred with Chardonnay lees for four months, it’s got texture and lift in equal measure. On the palate, it’s dry, textural and full of rose petals, redcurrant, wild cherries, Fuji apple, pink grapefruit, with a bit of leesy creaminess to keep things silky. Long, feathery, and endlessly drinkable.
About the Winemaker
- Chilled Red
- Touriga Nacional, Grenache, Syrah and Cinsault
- Elgin, Swartland, RSA
- Samantha Suddons | Vine Venom
Wine Description
Vine Venom’s NV ‘Satellites’ No. 3 is a supremely approachable non-vintage red blend. Led by Touriga Nacional with Syrah, Grenache, and Cinsault in the mix, the grapes are whole-bunch pressed, fermented gently, and married in old barrels to create a expression and balance. On the nose you'll be met with ripe cherry, strawberry, pink musk, fennel and lavender; while the palate sways between pomegranate and blackcurrant pastilles, all wrapped in a playful tannic frame as is the Vine Venom way. Bright and layered, it’s fruit-forward but never cloying. Best served well chilled.
About the Winemaker
- Chilled Red
- Alicante
- Montpelier, Languedoc, FR
- Catherine Bernard | Catherine Bernard
Wine Description
Alicante Bouschet is a bit of an unsung hero... deeply coloured, full of dark, juicy fruit, and naturally plush without feeling heavy. Catherine’s 2021 take is exactly that: a bright, black-fruited red with this gorgeous depth that makes it feel both generous and totally food-agreeable. Expect blackberry, black cherry, maybe a touch of plum, all wrapped in a soft, earthy warmth. It’s full-bodied but drinks with surprising lift... the kind of red that loves a generous table, a roast chicken, or anything charred.
About the Winemaker
- Light Red
- Pinot Noir
- Leongatha, South Gippsland
- Lisa + Justin Jenkins | Fleet Wines
Wine Description
What a sweet little bottle full of feeling. It’s wine built on connection... to place, to the kind of landscapes that imprint themselves on you. This pinot is perfumed and bright... think wild strawberries, cherries, a little plum, and some earthy spice... sort of like the aromas you get from walking through the bush after rain. It’s lively and textural, with the kind of acidity that lifts everything and tannins that feel like a friendly nudge rather than a shove... present, but held back. The vineyard was planted in 1990, sitting on deep basalt-rich clay loam, with vines facing north and catching the gentle Gippsland light. This shows up in the glass as depth without heaviness. Just divine.
About the Winemaker
- Heavy Red
- Aglianico
- Puglia, IT
- Sveva Sernia | Agricola Morasinsi
Wine Description
The 2019 Sferra Cavallo is the wildest, most bare-knuckled expression of Aglianico. Taking its name from the old Murgia tracks so rocky they were said to pull the shoes off horses... this wine charges forward with the same feral, earthy, free-running spirit. Born in the warm winds and limestone soils of the Alta Murgia, this is Aglianico raised the Morasinsi way... fermentation kicks off on its own in concrete, then the wine rests for 20 months across concrete, amphora, and old barrels... unfined, unfiltered, and totally unpolished. In the glass, it’s all dark cherry, wild herbs, potpourri and dusty stone... structured but gentle, with tannins that feel like a firm handshake rather than a punch. It’s honest, elemental, and deliciously alive.
