La Kooki’s 2024 Blonde Rosé is a pale, punchy little number from Wilyabrup, made from hand-picked Pinot Noir at Thompson Estate, a Sustainable Winegrowing Australia-certified vineyard. Whole-bunch pressed, wild-fermented on full solids in seasoned barriques, and stirred with Chardonnay lees for four months, it’s got texture and lift in equal measure. On the palate, it’s dry, textural and full of rose petals, redcurrant, wild cherries, Fuji apple, pink grapefruit, with a bit of leesy creaminess to keep things silky. Long, feathery, and endlessly drinkable.

About the Winemakers
Eloise Jarvis + Glenn Goodall | La Kooki

Eloise Jarvis and Glenn Goodall share more than two decades of winemaking experience and accolades, with their story beginning way back when they were both studying oenology in South Australia in the ’90s. After vintages abroad and formative roles at leading Margaret River wineries - Eloise at Cape Mentelle and Glenn at Xanadu, where he remains head winemaker - they settled in the region in 2003 and planted the first seed for La Kooki shortly after. Drawing on long-standing relationships with local growers, they make wines that are thoughtful yet completely unpretentious, capturing true expressions of unique sites while keeping production small and hands-on. Their philosophy is experimental but grounded, with sustainability and care for place at the centre.
