- Traditional Sparkling
- Sparkling Wine
- Pipers Brook, TAS
- Natalie Fryer | Bellebonne
Wine Description
Delicate white flowers blend effortlessly with lemon curd, toasty shortbread and white nectarine. The palate is elegance defined, with a long finish of fresh cream and preserved lemon. ‘Bis’ is French for ‘the space in-between’, which encapsulates the process and inspiration it took to make this exquisite non-vintage blanc.
In the cellar, Bellebonne follows traditional méthode champenoise practices—hand-picking, whole-bunch pressing, extended lees ageing and minimal dosage—crafted with precision and restraint. The wines show remarkable poise and detail: crystalline acidity, fine bead and savoury depth balanced by elegance and length.
About the Winemaker
- Non-Traditional Sparkling, Rosé
- Dornfelder, Riesling and Siegerrebe
- Rheinhessen, GER
- Alanna Lagamba | Vin de LaGamba
Wine Description
Dornfelder was widely planted in the 1980s when Bordeaux was hyped. “The colour is pitch black, but it’s ironic because it’s not a big wine,” explains Alanna. With its alcohol maxing out at nine, maybe ten, per cent, it’s never going to be mistaken as a Bordeaux. Although not her first choice, Alanna had a thought. “Being half Italian, I grew up drinking Lambrusco. So I had the idea to do it German-style.”
Frauen Power’s colour might be dark and stormy, but it smells like bing cherries, the ones that pair so well with boozy chocolate. It’s not sweet, however. It’s dry like blackcurrants that aren’t quite ready to leave their vine. Frauen Power is also a reminder that sparkling wines can do a lot more than toast to special occasions. They dress down just as well as they dress up, accompanying pizza, buttery crackers, or just a balmy afternoon.

- Medium White
- Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc
- Ningxia, CHI
- Emma Gao | Silver Heights
Wine Description
Bright, lively, and effortlessly drinkable, the 2022 Silver Heights The Last Warrior is a blend of near-equal parts Chardonnay, Riesling, and Sauvignon Blanc from Ningxia, China. Tropical fruits dominate... pineapple, peach, apricot, lychee, and pear, but that first whiff also carries the vegetal lift of Sauvignon Blanc, hinting at the wine’s freshness.
Hand-picked, gently pressed, and slow-fermented in stainless steel with a splash of Burgundy oak, it skips malolactic fermentation to keep things crisp and energetic. Like most Silver Heights wines, it’s restrained and balanced, rewarding time in the glass: over 90 minutes, the aromas evolve beautifully. Named The Last Warrior in honor of the courage and tenacity of the Ningxia people, the wine’s label features a terracotta warrior... a visual story that matches the wine’s poise and elegance
