Famelia Wine Bar + Bottle Shop
Newtown + Darlinghurst, Sydney NSW
Salary: $75,000 – $80,000 per annum (based on experience)
Famelia (operated by Vine to Table Pty Ltd) is a wine bar and bottle shop specialising in a monthly rotating wine list paired with high-quality seasonal food. We choose to feature wines made by women, exclusively - and collaborate with women-led food businesses wherever possible. We're seeking an experienced Head Cook to lead kitchen operations across our current Newtown venue and our second location in Darlinghurst, opening August 2026.
This is a full-time role (42 hours per week).
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, develop and update seasonal menus aligned with rotating wine lists
- Prepare and present fresh, high-quality dishes in a licensed hospitality venue
- Oversee daily kitchen operations and service delivery
- Manage stock control, ordering and supplier relationships
- Maintain food safety and WHS compliance
- Supervise and train kitchen staff across both venues
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a hospitality food preparation environment
- Experience in menu development and food preparation
- Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
- Ability to manage kitchen operations during service
- Experience supervising junior staff preferred
- Strong organisational and time management skills
This is a full-time position based in Sydney, NSW, across two venues.
