Come and meet the makers behind some of Tasmania's most exciting cool-climate wines: Julieanne and Ashli Mani of Iron Pot Bay Vineyard and Ashli Rose Wines.
Iron Pot Bay Vineyard is a family-owned vineyard in Rowella, Tasmania, in the heart of the West Tamar region. Established in 1988 and owned by the Mani family since 2013, the vineyard is now home to two generations of winegrowers, with mother and daughter team Julieanne and Ashli Mani working side by side across the vineyard, winemaking and cellar door. Ashli Rose Wines is Ashli's own small-batch label, created after completing a Bachelor of Viticulture and Oenology in New Zealand and gaining winemaking experience across Tasmania's premium cool-climate wine regions.
Today, Ashli crafts small-batch wines from fruit grown at Iron Pot Bay Vineyard, while Julieanne continues to oversee the vineyard and cellar door that have become synonymous with Iron Pot Bay. Together, they produce a range of cool-climate Tasmanian wines including Riesling, Pinot Gris, Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier, Semillon and traditional method sparkling wine. Their wines have recently received multiple gold medals at the Tasmanian Wine Show, reflecting a shared commitment to quality, sustainability and expressing the unique character of their Rowella vineyard. At the heart of both Iron Pot Bay Vineyard and Ashli Rose Wines is a simple philosophy: great wine begins in the vineyard, is shaped with care in the winery, and is best enjoyed shared around a table with family and friends.
