- Traditional Sparkling
- Chenin Blanc
- Vouvray, Loire Valley, FR
- Céline Champalou | Domaine Champalou
Wine Description
Oooh yeah, Loire Valley bubbles for the win! There’s a lovely tension that occurs as a result of grapes being picked at full ripeness which enhances the rich, luscious fruit characteristics, and then fermentation and aging in stainless steel, which highlights a delicate, fresh, clean experience.
About the Winemaker
- Non-Traditional Sparkling
- Barbera and Bonarda
- Emilia-Romagna, IT
- Elisabetta Montesissa | Montesissa
Wine Description
Creamy, rustic, pink frizzante, yes! It's been made the same way for decades - nothing added, nothing taken away. The local red grapes produce an intense sour cherry juice bomb, tempered to perfection with mouth-watering acidity. It's a bit cloudy, it's a bit funky, it's a bit bloody delicious!

About the Winemaker
- Light White
- Cortese
- Gavi, Piemonte, IT
- Francesca Poggio | Il Poggio di Gavi
Wine Description
You’d love Francesca and her daughter Giorgia! They’re warm, vivacious and honest. Just like this wine. White roses, dried peach & alpine herbs on the nose invite you, lovingly, in. Take a sip & your palate is captivated. Acidity that tickles, creaminess that soothes, and a saline finish that keeps you coming back.
About the Winemaker
- Medium White
- Grüner Veltliner
- Marlborough, NZ
- Alejandra Ruiz Lagos | Good Vibes Wine Co.
Wine Description
A textural white wine from Chilean-born winemaker Alejandra, who with her co-founder Rae, are making singular small-batch wines that centre the fruit, and the place. This Austrian variety, when fermented in oak, leans into an oily, tropical yellow fruit, white pepper, salted coconut vibe - yum!
About the Winemaker
- Medium White
- Chenin Blanc, Collombard and Melon de Bourgogne
- Touraine Montlouis-Sur-Loire Loire, FR
- Lise + Bertrand Jousset | Domaine Jousset
Wine Description
A blend of grapes from 40+ year-old vines, all vinified separately. The resulting wine is unique! With aromas of stone fruits, citrus and marzipan, the palate details a creamy, yeasty, rich character, with a zippy, bright, minerally grip, and an toffee apple fruit spice, almost oxidative expression.
About the Winemaker
- Orange
- Viognier
- McLaren Vale, SA
- Dr Irina Santiago-Brown + Dudley Brown | Inkwell
Wine Description
Sometimes it’s a simple as that - this wine is yummy! A refined, yet smash-able skin contact white from re-gen agricuturalists, Irina and Dudley. Delicate jasmine flowers, mint, tinned apricots and crushed green peppercorns fill the nose, and give way to a moreish, stalky, fuzzy kiwifruit palate.
About the Winemaker
- Orange
- Garnatxa Blanca
- Terra Alta, SP
- Andrea Miró | Andrea Miró
Wine Description
Grenache Blanc with proper skin contact. The fruit is destemmed and wild-fermented in stainless steel with the skins, then left on them until pressing. That gives Brisat its amber colour, gentle tannin and extra grip, with ripe apple and apricot, Mediterranean herbs, citrus and a savoury almond edge. Structured, dry and very much not your standard white wine.
About the Winemaker
- Rosé
- Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Shiraz
- Adelaide Hills, SA
- Jane Bromley + Hylton McLean | Honey Moon Vineyard
Wine Description
I'm obsessed with how compelling & delicious this rosé is! Hellooo Summer! If I closed my eyes I could be drinking a textural white, or a traditional fizz without the bubbles... It has layers of watermelon, musk, and a flinty, stoniness. A blend of white & red grapes for flavour & complexity.
About the Winemaker
- Chilled Light Red
- Pinot Meunier
- McLaren Vale, SA
- Amber Ochota | Ochota Barrels
Wine Description
Thrilled to feature one of Amber’s wines this month, and a banger at that! This wine is the liquid version of ‘Opposite Day’: juicy red fruits - sour cherry, raspberry jelly, charred pink marshmallows; and spicy, savoury things - curry leaf, tomato stalks and struck match. Don’t think, just drink...
About the Winemaker
- Light Medium Red
- Gamay
- Pipers River, TAS
- Linda Morice | Sinapius
Wine Description
An exquisite, sophisticated, light to medium-bodied red from Linda this month. She decided to pull back on the whole bunch, focusing on whole berry fermentation instead for a more refined and elegant result. It’s all brooding black fruit & brambles, rhubarb, and shiso, with a silky, velvet finish.
About the Winemaker
- Medium Red
- Blaufränkisch
- Mikulovska, Moravia, Czech Republic
- Dominika Černohorská | Vinařství Plenér
Wine Description
Another Czech wine this month! Known for being a thick, dark-skinned variety, this wine has been made with a light touch. It’s all purple fruits - plums, cherries, blueberries & violets - with a sappy, smoky, dusty aroma. Coupled with gentle yet chalky tannins, it’s particularly great for Aperitivo!
About the Winemaker
- Heavy Red
- Sangiovese
- Heathcote, VIC
- Madeleine + Mario Marson | Vinea Marson
Wine Description
This wine is giving ‘BIG red’, but has this subtle, magical restraint only expert winemakers can carry off. Red raspberries meet dried sage, oregano, cumin and a rustic meatiness. A blend of 12 different clones of this variety - some they imported from Tuscany themselves - adds incredible complexity!
