Winemaker Tasting | Alicia Basa of Borachio Wines

We’re so excited to be welcoming Alicia Basa of Borachio Wines to Famelia for a special Taste with the Winemaker event on Thursday 14th of May.

Alicia and her partner Mark Warner launched Borachio in 2016— an independent label making small-batch wines. Now based in McLaren Flat, they focus on fruit from Blewitt Springs; particularly vineyards rooted in Maslin sand, which helps shape wines with lift, energy and a distinctly savoury, saline edge. Organically grown, handpicked and made without additions, Alicia and Mark’s wines are joyful and full of life.

Since launching, the wines have struck that elusive balance between serious and seriously drinkable with a consistency that additive-free wines seldom achieve. 

We can't wait to have her in to share a selection of Borachio's beautiful wines and the stories behind them. Don't miss this chance to taste with the maker herself, paired with a bowl of mixed olives on the side. We'll see you there!
