20 Years of Wines by KT at Peglidis Vineyard | Winemaker Tasting with Kerri Thompson
We're really excited to welcome Kerri Thompson of Wines by KT to the bar for a very special evening celebrating 20 years of her relationship with one of the Clare Valley's most beloved vineyard sites — the Peglidis Vineyard in Watervale.
Kerri is one of Australia's most dedicated and passionate Riesling makers, and her story with the Peglidis Vineyard is as good as it gets. It began with a phone call from grower Bunny Peglidis, who needed someone to take his fruit. Kerri didn't hesitate — she said yes, quit her job at Leasingham a few days later, and built her entire label around that single vineyard and its extraordinary grapes. Planted in 1973 and dry-grown on chocolate loam over limestone in Watervale, the Peglidis vines produce a Riesling that Kerri describes as "powerful in its delicacy" — tightly coiled, precise and built to age beautifully.
Two decades on, the Peglidis Riesling has become one of the Clare Valley's most iconic single-vineyard wines, and tonight Kerri is here to share that story — and those wines — with you personally.
