About the Winemaker
Trish Nelson | Gazzetta
Trish Nelson was born in Australia but, following her parents' work as professors, grew up across various parts of Asia. Driven by an insatiable curiosity and a deep love of Italian food and wine, she travelled extensively throughout Italy, spending years learning alongside some of the country's most celebrated natural winemakers — Antonio and Daniela of Cantina Giardino, and Gianmarco and Clementine of Le Coste. In 2018, she founded Gazzetta, a passion project rooted in sustainable agriculture and a deep respect for biodiversity. Based in the hills above the lakeside town of Bolsena in northern Lazio, Trish farms her vineyards organically and takes an entirely hands-off approach in the winery, with no additions at any stage of the process.
