This Chardonnay is from the pioneer of biodynamics in Australia, Vanya Cullen OAM. On the nose you get white flowers lined with glances of fresh vanilla, chamomile and almond marzipan. Concentrated backbone of dried pear and fig all framed by clean notes of quinces and white peach.

On the palate there is a remarkable phenolic tension at the front sliding through to a rich, firm & balance middle palate framed by ripe stone fruits and perfumed pear, crunch minerality and savoury acidity with an elegant soft clean finish.

This wine will age for up to 20 years.

About the Winemaker
Vanya Cullen | Cullen Wines

It all started in 1966, when, on the advice of eminent agronomist Dr John Gladstones, Kevin John and Diana Madeline Cullen planted the seeds of what would become one of Margaret River’s most iconic estates. Alongside friends, they trialed vines in Wilyabru; a bold experiment that five years later would grow into Cullen Wines. At the helm is Vanya Cullen, the youngest of six children to Kevin and Diana, whose lifelong connection to the land inspires her every decision. Since taking the reins, Vanya has transformed Cullen Wines into one of Australia’s most environmentally sustainable vineyards with an entirely holistic approach. Cullen Wines has achieved global recognition and, alongside numerous accolades, was named Halliday Wine Companion’s ‘Winemaker of the Year' in 2020.
