2023 Gut Oggau Cecilia Field Blend MAGNUM - K&P

Meet Cecilia, the free spirit of the Gut Oggau family - a field blend of red and white grapes that refuses to colour inside the lines. This isn’t your average rosé/orange wine. Born from a 1.4-hectare plot that Steffi and Eduard lovingly brought back to life, it’s made from a traditional Gemischter Satz (mixed planting) and offers up something truly distinctive.

Two-thirds of the grapes are pressed straight away, the rest spend a bit of time on skins, creating a wine that’s bright, structured and full of energy. Fermented wild and aged in large old oak, it’s bottled as naturally as it’s grown - unfined, unfiltered, and without any additions.

What you get is a dry, expressive, amber-ish thing with beautiful texture and wild charm. Crunchy red fruits, subtle spice and a savoury edge make this a standout on the table. Cecilia is one of a kind - honest, unpretentious, and quietly rebellious.
