Allanna and Michael Wells are the heart behind Thea Wines, a small-batch label they established in 2022. Their mission is to infuse each handcrafted bottle with a deeper meaning; embodying the essence of life’s intricate moments and transforming them into treasured memories.
With almost a decade in the Hunter Valley wine industry, Allanna has built a career spanning winemaking, viticulture, sales, marketing, events and brand development. She is a passionate advocate for the Hunter Valley and the people who make it special, actively supporting and championing the region through a range of industry leadership, mentoring and community initiatives.
Allanna has become a recognised young voice in the Hunter Valley wine community. She was named a finalist for Hunter Valley Young Achiever of the Year in both 2025 and 2026, recognising emerging talent and the contribution she’s making to the region’s wine industry.
Thea Wines takes its name from the Greek goddess of insight and wisdom, and that idea runs through the wines; they’re made with care, a clear sense of purpose, and a genuine connection to the people and places behind them.
