We’re having a moment with Lebanese wines right now, and this red is a fascinating find! Big, inky, and smoky AF, this is a blend of 3 grapes from the mountainous terraces of Batroun, at 900 m.a.s.l. Think black fruits, dark chocolate and smoky Lapsang Souchong tea. It’s wild!

About the Winemakers
Fady, Andrea + Nathalie Geara | Aurora

Aurora Winery is a family-owned producer nestled in the village of Rachkiddeh in the Batroun region of northern Lebanon. Founded in 2003 by Dr. Fady Geara — a full-time oncologist and passionate winemaker — Aurora grew from a dream to reconnect with his homeland and produce wine from local grape varieties alongside his father, who had long distilled Arak from the family's vines. The name Aurora was inspired by the nearby village of Aoura, and carries the meaning of first light before dawn. Today the winery is run by Fady alongside his wife Nathalie and daughter Andrea, combining old-world and new-world practices to craft small-batch, terroir-driven Lebanese wines with real heart and history behind them.
