Vanessa and Neville Bagot are the passionate owners and winemakers of Barringwood, a boutique vineyard in Tasmania’s North West Coast. The couple fell in love with the stunning site and its wines in 2012. It was initially purchased as a distraction from their busy professional lives in Sydney, but it quickly became an obsession and a passion; especially for Vanessa who is now studying a Bachelor of Viticulture.
Vanessa and Neville have expanded their vineyards to include two more sites in Cranbrook and Evandale, where they grow native and alternative varieties such as Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris, Chardonnay, Pinot Muenier and Schonburger. They are committed to biodynamic farming and minimal intervention winemaking, producing wines that reflect the terroir and personality of each plot. They have received acclaim and awards for their wines, which are among the most sought-after in Tasmania.
