This is a really beautiful Fiano shaped by the long growing season of the Yarra. Grown on Zonzo Estate’s softly sloping vineyards, where the mild conditions allow flavour to build slowly and evenly, it's fresh and generous. Crushed stone, nashi pear skin, fennel, lemon zest, with a lovely almond nuttiness too. It's a bit savoury, a bit saline. Very rounded and especially suited to most things food. A great bottle to start 2026 on!

Caroline Mooney | Zonzo Estate

Caroline Mooney grew up in the Yarra Valley, on a farm just next door to what is now Zonzo Estate... a homegrown beginning that’s since grown into more than 20 years of hands-on winemaking. Her path took her through France and back again, picking up both a wine science degree and something harder to pin down: an intuitive, grounded understanding of letting the fruit do the heavy lifting. Since joining Zonzo in 2015, she’s steered the winery into more expressive territory, launching their small-batch, minimal-intervention Scoperta range and keeping things refreshingly low-fi along the way.
