Winemaker Tasting ~ Josephine Perry of Dormilona

We're super excited to welcome legendary Jo Perry from Domilona in Margaret River, WA to share her new releases with us at our Taste with the Winemaker event on Thursday 9th October.

Jo Perry is a one-woman whirlwind of talent, intuition, and surfboard energy. Though she earned the nickname ‘Dormilona’ (Spanish for “lazy bones”) while working in Spain, the truth is Jo was sneaking in early morning surf sessions before long days in the winery. She’s been chasing fermentation since she was 14, encouraged by her brewer grandfather, and has worked vintages everywhere from Bordeaux and Burgundy to California, Galicia and Orange NSW. In 2012, she came home to Margaret River and launched Dormilona and her wine consultancy Perryscope. She’s been shaking up the region’s winemaking ever since, including winning Best New Act and Young Gun of Wine. Plus, Jo makes some cracking Chenin Blanc’s, so we're big fans!
