Wine 102: A Beginner’s Guide to Natural Wine
No prior wine knowledge needed - we'll hit the ground running and dive into the world of natural wine, what it actually means, and why it matters. We'll explore how minimal intervention in both the vineyard and the winery shapes the character of a wine, from organic and biodynamic farming practices through to native yeast fermentation, and minimal sulphur use. Culminating in how all of these choices come together in the glass, and what sets a natural wine apart from its conventional counterpart. A little more context behind the philosophy helps us taste with greater intention - and opens up a whole new world of the weird, the wonderful, and the delicious!
