Starting from scratch, we’ll talk through the importance of understanding how growing conditions, climatic factors, altitude and soil have an impact on the grapes; followed by winemaking decisions, vessel types, fining and filtration; culminating in how of all of this impacts the wine in the bottle. Knowing a little more about the ‘before’ helps us become better tasters, and masters of our palates!
