Straight sunshine. Sunny is a bright and juicy co-ferment of Pinot Gris, Sangiovese and Graciano, resulting in a chilled red that’s light yet quietly complex. Think red rope liquorice, watermelon warheads, cherry cola and a touch of herbal spice. Best served with good mates and salty snacks.

About the Winemaker
Matilda Innes | Taschini Wine

Matilda grew up in the vines of Coonawarra, but her path to winemaking wasn’t exactly straight. She studied Fine Arts and Communication Design in Melbourne, worked hospo, fell (back) in love with wine, and eventually made her way home in 2017 with chef partner Paul Stone. These days she helps run the family biz (Fodder and Ottelia) while carving out her own winemaking identity with Taschini.

Taschini is Matilda Innes’ very fun, very fresh wine project - and it’s all about the small stuff. Literally. Taschini means "little pockets" in Italian, and the label is about making playful, small-batch wines that don’t take themselves too seriously. Born out of Coonawarra but not bound by tradition, Taschini is where Matilda experiments with unexpected blends and lets her creativity (and curiosity) take the lead.
