About the Winemakers

Nadja and Steve are the owners and winemakers of ChaLou Wines, a small and authentic winery in the cool climate region of Orange, NSW. They have a strong connection to the land and a genuine love for farming. They use organic and biodynamic practices to grow their grapes and make their wines. They believe in minimal intervention and natural fermentation, letting the terroir and the vintage express themselves in the bottle. Their wines are complex and layered, with fine balance and structure.

Nadja and Steve started ChaLou Wines in 2019, after years of working in different fields and travelling around the world. They fell in love with the Orange region and decided to pursue their passion for wine. They named their winery after their children, Charlie and Louie, who are also part of the ChaLou family.
