From the rolling pink granite slopes of Fleurie comes this dreamy Gamay from Marine Bonnet and Pierre Cotton, totally bright and floral. Juicy strawberries, crushed violets, and rose petals gliding over that signature Fleurie finesse. The fruit comes from 50-year-old vines in the Poncié vineyard, hand-harvested and fermented with native yeasts in whole bunches, then aged in old foudres that once held beer (seriously). Certified organic and made without fining, filtering, or added sulphur, it’s pure, high-toned Beaujolais magic.

About the Winemakers
Marine Bonnet + Pierre Cotton | Bonnet Cotton

Domaine Bonnet-Cotton is a family affair through and through. Pierre Cotton's family has been farming and producing wine at the same cellar in Odenas since 1856. Legend has it that the large chai, with its cavernous cellars, was built in the 18th century to make the wines for the nearby Château de Pierreux, and that over the years, it has housed a rotating group of producers. These days, Pierre Cotton and his partner Marine Bonnet are the ones calling the shots, blending tradition with a youthful, no-rules energy. Pierre actually started out as a motorcycle mechanic (you can kind of feel that wild streak in the wines) before heading to the Loire to hone his craft. He came back in 2014, reclaimed a few family plots, and started making his own wines. Marine joined officially in 2020, bringing her background in agronomy and a sharp eye for the vineyard. Together, they farm 16 hectares across Brouilly, Fleurie, and beyond, crafting vibrant, semi-carbonic Gamays aged in old foudres.
