Hand-picked from Spring’s Vineyard in the high elevations near Mansfield, this is Meunier doing what it does best. Supple and perfumed, a soft ruby-garnet in the glass, it wastes no time luring you in with crushed mulberries and warm spice, before a second wave of tilled earth and soft herbs rolls on through. It’s pretty, but pretty grounded too. Often cast as a supporting player in Champagne, Meunier really shines here on its own, offering something Pinot Noir lovers will feel instantly at home with…  juicy, medium-bodied, and just a little too easy to drink. Endlessly appealing.

Ros Ritchie is a quiet underdog of Australian wine. After graduating from Roseworthy in 1981, she headed home to Victoria to help build Delatite from the ground up, spending 25 years shaping their style and reputation, especially around aromatic whites. Along the way, her wines picked up serious acclaim… and in 2008, Ros stepped out on her own with husband John, establishing Ros Ritchie Wines near Mansfield in Victoria’s High Country. These days, her fruit comes from trusted local growers across the region with a real emphasis on site, low yields and flavour intensity. Gewürztraminer, Riesling, Pinot Gris and Chardonnay take centre stage, alongside elegant, cool-climate reds.
