Grown in the folds of the Yarra Valley, this blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir leans charmingly elegant. Chardonnay brings the line and lift while Pinot Noir lends power. Almond, orange citrus, green apple, chalk, a brush of red berry. Three years in bottle have added depth without dulling its brightness. Made méthode traditionnelle, and recently awarded Best Sparkling at the 2024 Victorian Wine Show. Very. Good!

Caroline Mooney | Zonzo Estate

Caroline Mooney grew up in the Yarra Valley, on a farm just next door to what is now Zonzo Estate... a homegrown beginning that’s since grown into more than 20 years of hands-on winemaking. Her path took her through France and back again, picking up both a wine science degree and something harder to pin down: an intuitive, grounded understanding of letting the fruit do the heavy lifting. Since joining Zonzo in 2015, she’s steered the winery into more expressive territory, launching their small-batch, minimal-intervention Scoperta range and keeping things refreshingly low-fi along the way.
