Lise + Bertrand Jousset | Domaine Jousset
In the rolling quiet of Montlouis-sur-Loire, Lise and Bertrand Jousset have been making wines since 2004. He was a soldier; she, a sommelier - two paths that met over a love of wine and a shared belief that only truly great wine begins in living soils. Bertrand retrained in viticulture and oenology after leaving the army, while Lise brought with her years of experience and formal sommelier training. Today, their 13 hectares are scattered across dozens of small plots, rooted in flint, clay and limestone, and planted mostly to Chenin Blanc, the grape that drew them to this part of the Loire. Everything is farmed organically, with biodynamic principles guiding their work since 2015.
