Cristiana Meggiolaro and her husband Riccardo are the fresh-faced renegades of Roncà, Verona, bringing energy, heart, and unflinching passion to one of Italy’s most famous white wine regions. They left the corporate grind behind, grabbed a tiny garage-turned-cellar, and set to work on Riccardo’s family land, reviving abandoned vineyards and planting new Garganega alongside forgotten gems like Durella. Hand-harvested, zero-chemicals, fiercely attentive... every vine is cared for by Cristiana and Riccardo themselves, from sunup to sundown. Their wines are utterly tied to the Lessini Mountains’ volcanic soils, breezy altitudes, and biodiverse surroundings. Textural, vibrant, and age-worthy, their whites are a welcome counterpoint to the mass-market sameness of Soave, offering freshness, clarity, and a real sense of place. Cristiana’s journey from sommelier to winemaker is a story of curiosity, bold decisions, and a refusal to compromise.
