About the Winemaker
Camilla Rossi Chauvenet

Camilla Rossi Chauvenet is a force of nature. Born into a Valpolicella wine family who sold their fruit to co-ops, she was the first to dream bigger. After studying oenology and honing her craft in France and Spain, she returned home to turn her family’s estate into a serious winemaking operation. When she and her mother visited Puglia, they were captivated by the land’s raw beauty and potential. In 2008, they bought Masseria Cuturi and began the slow, careful work of bringing it back to life. Camilla now oversees organic farming, meticulous winemaking, and the protection of ancient olive trees - crafting wines that reflect not just soil and sun, but history, resilience, and deep-rooted female legacy.

Massimago

Masseria Cuturi is no ordinary estate. Founded in 1881 with the planting of Primitivo vines gifted by Countess Sabini as a dowry, it sits in the historic heart of Manduria - land long revered for wine, olive groves, and ancient Messapian relics. Once abandoned, the property was revived in 2007 by the Rossi Chauvenet family, who saw promise in its limestone soils and breezy Mediterranean setting. Today, Cuturi is a thriving organic farm with 40 hectares of vineyard, 80 hectares of olive trees, and over 100 hectares of wild flora.
