About the Winemakers

Jess and James Audas are the founders of A.R.C Wines, established in 2017. Their winery, an acronym for A Random Collection, is a testament to their commitment to organic farming and minimal intervention winemaking.

They manage a 4ha vineyard in Warragul South, where they employ organic practices to honour the Gunaikurnai land. Jess and James focus on creating wines that reflect the distinct characteristics of their volcanic soil terroir. They adopt a hands-off approach in their cellar, utilising native yeasts and allowing natural fermentation in amphora, wooden barrels, and tanks.

Their vision extends beyond winemaking; it’s about cultivating a legacy of environmental stewardship for their children, Freya and Oscar. Each bottle of A.R.C wine is a celebration of their philosophy: to produce authentic wines that encapsulate the essence of their origin.
