Domaine de la Grosse Pierre
Pauline Passot is part of Beaujolais’ next generation... passionate and deeply connected to her roots. After growing up on her family’s estate, she stepped away to work as a sommelier (including a stint in Ireland where she first fell in love with wine), before studying in Beaune and working vintages at iconic estates like Seresin in New Zealand and Lafarge in Burgundy. She returned home in 2018 to take over the domaine from her parents, bringing with her a deep respect for tradition and a forward-thinking spirit.
Domaine de la Grosse Pierre is a rising star of Beaujolais, based in the high-altitude cru of Chiroubles. The estate spans just over 9 hectares across Chiroubles, Morgon, Fleurie, and Beaujolais, all planted to Gamay. Since 2018, the domaine has focused on organic farming (certified in 2024) with a minimalist, terroir-first approach to winemaking. Fermentation is gentle and traditional, relying on semi-carbonic maceration and native yeasts mostly.
