Originally from Touraine with no family background in wine, Laura David pursued formal studies in viticulture, winemaking, and wine business across Bordeaux, Montpellier, and Chinon before embarking on a life-changing journey with her partner through New Zealand and Asia. On returning in 2017, she planted roots in Montlouis-sur-Loire, taking over 7 hectares of vineyards at just 25 years of age. Today, her 9 hectares span sandy, silex-rich and clay soils, producing expressive Chenin Blanc alongside reds from emblematic old vines. Laura’s approach is organic and biodynamic at its core, embracing spontaneous grasses and sheep eco-grazing to nurture soil and vine health. In her troglodyte cellar, carved into the cliff, fermentation is gentle and respectful... wild yeasts, minimal oak, occasional amphora, allowing the wines to truly speak of their place.
