As we often find of our wonderful female winemakers, Kerri Thompson’s journey into winemaking was anything but typical (is there such a thing?) She’s been calling the Clare Valley home since 1998, but it was a career in food technology that unexpectedly led her to fall in love with winemaking. After managing Leasingham Wines for years, she took the leap and started her own label, Wines by KT, in 2006, pouring all her energy into her one true love - Riesling. With a deep connection to the land and our favoured “let the vineyard speak for itself” approach, Kerri’s wines are all about showcasing the spirit of the Clare Valley.
