About the Winemakers

Jemma + Steve Fielke | J+S Fielke

Jemma and Steve Fielke are the viticulturist-winemaker duo behind J+S Fielke in the Adelaide Hills. They met studying Viticulture and Oenology at the University of Adelaide, then split pretty neatly into their strengths: Jemma in the vineyard and Steve in the cellar. They started J+S Fielke in 2019 after taking on a small parcel of vines in Piccadilly Valley.

Their approach is firmly vineyard-first - hands-on farming, careful vine work and minimal winemaking, with wild ferments, whole bunch and cold soak used to frame the fruit rather than take over. Jemma and Steve were Young Gun of Wine finalists in both 2024 and 2025.
