Anna Maria + Francesco Dibenedetto | L'Archetipo

Francesco Valentino and Anna Maria Dibenedetto are the heart and soul behind L'Archetipo, a pioneering natural winery nestled in Castellaneta, Puglia. An agronomist and farmer by birth, Francesco began converting his family's land to organic farming in the 1980s, transitioning to biodynamic practices in 2000, guided by the philosophies of Rudolf Steiner and Masanobu Fukuoka. Today, their vineyards go unplowed, preserving a thriving ecosystem of insects, birds, and native crops between the vines. Together with Anna Maria and their four children, this family adventure produces wines of remarkable purity — fermented with wild yeasts, unfiltered, and untampered.
