A sparkling with soul - and a few apples. ‘Farha’ means joy, and that’s exactly what this bottle delivers. A co-ferment of 80% Merwah (an ancient white grape native to Lebanon) and 20% Red Delicious apples, grown at 1500m in the remote Wadi Annoubine valley. It’s a wild blend that works so beautifully: zippy, juicy, and a little rustic. It gives a big whack of golden apple first off, then zesty citrus and spice. The apples go through carbonic maceration, the Merwah gets skin contact, and the whole thing is left undisgorged, unfined, unfiltered, and naturally fermented with no fluff or additives - just a touch of sulphur to keep things in check. Textural, dry, and full of character, with a salty finish that leaves you reaching for another sip.

About the Winemakers
Claudine Lteif + Michelle Chami | Heya Wines

Claudine Lteif and Michelle Chami are neighbours turned friends, turned mothers, turned makers - an iconic transition that led to the creation of Heya Wines in 2022. Based in the mountainous region of Batroun, Lebanon, the two first fell for the process while helping with harvest at nearby Mersel Wine, where Michelle’s partner Eddie is winemaker. With Claudine’s background in nutrition bringing precision and intention, and Michelle’s hands-on, heart-first energy, they began experimenting with co-ferments, native grapes, and ancestral methods. Heya, meaning “she” in Arabic, is now an all-women project grounded in natural, minimal-intervention winemaking. Everything is done themselves: from vineyard to cellar, labelling to logistics, using only indigenous yeasts, no fining or filtering, and minimal sulphur. With a deep care for land, community, and equality, they’ve created a space that champions women in Lebanon’s wine industry - paying fairly, telling real stories, and crafting wines that are honest, joyful, and deeply rooted in place.
