2021 Eminence Pinot Noir

Clare Burder and her partner Pete Allen craft wines under the Eminence label from their vineyard on the Whitlands High Plateau, located in Victoria's north-eastern region, just above the King Valley. Situated at 840 meters, this vineyard, which Clare's parents planted in the late 1990s, faces a challenging environment of high rainfall, vigour, and disease pressure. Despite these challenges, the vineyard produces truly exceptional wines!

Clare, who has a deep respect for the land and her family’s legacy, strives to grow healthy, balanced and honest wines. Since 2018, Clare and Pete have implemented sustainable farming practices, including organic trials and the introduction of grazing animals to reduce their environmental impact. Their small-scale, experimental approach allows them to create wines that are authentic to Whitlands while keeping the process minimally adjusted and rooted in tradition.
