Heidi Schröck has been making wine in Rust, Burgenland since taking over her family estate in 1983. She was the first woman to qualify as a Master of Viticulture and Winemaking in Burgenland and was a founding member of 11 Women + Their Wines, created to increase the visibility of women winemakers in Austria. Heidi is particularly known for Ruster Ausbruch and for helping revive Furmint in Rust. Today she works alongside her sons Georg and Johannes at Heidi Schröck & Söhne.
