This is your all-day, any-day dry Riesling - fresh, zesty, unassuming. It’s got all the juicy yellow fruit vibes (we’re talking peach, nectarine, ripe apple), a little zip of citrus, and a mouthwateringly subtle saline edge. It comes from five different villages along the Rhine Terrace, hence the name Qvinterra, and it’s made from young vines grown on a mix of red slate, loam, and wind-blown clay. The result? A wine that’s full of minerality, with a light herbal twist and enough acidity to keep things energetic. Fermented naturally and aged in stainless steel to keep all that vibrancy locked in. This is the kind of wine I reach for when I'm looking for something ultra-refreshing and fun.

About the Winemaker
Carolin Spanier-Gillot | Kühling-Gillot

Carolin Spanier-Gillor is a total powerhouse. She took over the family estate in 2002 and has since become one of Germany’s most respected winemakers... aaaand the first woman to be named Germany’s Winemaker of the Year! Carolin is all about balance: between nature and technique, precision and playfulness, tradition and innovation. A nature-lover at heart, a businesswoman, and a busy mum of two, she somehow also manages to make some of the most compelling wines in the country.

Kühling-Gillot is a certified-organic winery in Bodenheim, in Germany’s Rheinhessen region - not far from the Rhine River. The estate is steeped in history (we’re talking vineyards on 35-million-year-old soils), but in its current form, it was born in 1970 when two established local wineries - Kühling and Gillot - came together. These days, the estate is known for its elegant, terroir-driven Rieslings and Pinot Noirs, made with a deep respect for the land. Their vineyards stretch across five of the most iconic villages along the Rhine Terrace - including Nierstein, Oppenheim, and Nackenheim - with soils that range from red slate to limestone and loess. It’s this diversity that makes the wines so layered and expressive. They farm organically, use natural fermentation, and give their wines time to develop slowly. Everything’s done with a super thoughtful, hands-off approach.
