'Picnic Wines' Pack ~ October 2025
Who doesn't love a picnic?! This mix of wines will suit everyone, and are great for sharing.
October's Picnic Wines 3-Pack includes:
1. 2023 Domaine Jousset éxilé Rosé Pétillant
Gamay, Grolleau | Touraine Montlouis-Sur-Loire Loire, FR | Lise + Bertrand Jousset | Domaine Jousset
Organically farmed Gamay and Grolleau... FIZZ. Refreshingly bright and full of pleasure, Éxilé opens with a soft funky-herby-floral lift, then rolls into something sweeter.. raspberry skin, rose petals, ripe pear, crisp orange zest, and honeycomb... a creamy bead and gentle mineral tension hold it together like a nice cosy hug. Lise and Bertrand Jousset are masters of this form.. treating pét-nat not as an afterthought, but as a craft in itself.
2. 2024 Eleventh House ‘Sorella’ Vermentino
Vermentino, Pinot Grigio, Friulano | Alpine Valleys, VIC | Erin Pooley | Little Frances
Bright, open, Sorella is a Mediterranean-leaning blend with Vermentino at its heart, lifted by floral, textural Pinot Grigio and a little Friulano. Citrus blossom, just-ripe orchard fruit, a wash of clean acid that runs long and easy. It’s fresh, friendly, maybe even a bit flirty. Made by Erin Pooley in the Alpine Valleys of North East Victoria, bottled light, and finished with a screw cap for good times on the go. A new house favourite, and quite possibly yours too.
3. 2024 Dilworth & Allain ‘La Rosa’ Riesling Pinot Noir Rosé
Riesling, Pinot Noir | Mount Alexander, VIC | Loïque Allain + Chris Dilworth | Dilworth + Allain
Not quite a rosé, not quite a red... La Rosa lives somewhere in between. A blend of pressed Riesling juice from Dash Farm and pressed Pinot Noir from Doug’s Vineyard, it’s darker than your average rosé but also lighter than your average red. There's lift, crunch, and a good amount of savoury grip. Cooked strawberry, orange rind and candied rhubarb lead the nose, while the palate walks a tightrope of juicy red fruit and tonic-like freshness. Enjoy chilled!
