'Taste In The 'Dark', Light Up Your Palate'

Vivid 2024 is on, and I reckon it's time for a competition! You're all seasoned Famelia wine 'fliers', you've been pushed out of your comfort zone, you've tried varietals that have been 'un-Famelia', and you've walked out of Famelia knowing more than when you walked in...I am so damn proud of you! 

But, now it's time to test those palates of yours, and see the tangible and measurable outcomes of all this hard work (drinking, lol, and learning!!) There are some very fun prizes on offer, so it's worth putting your palate to the test...

How Does It Work?

Taste 3 half-glasses of wine in a flight 'blind' (we’ll cover the bottle up so you can’t see anything), between Wednesday 29th May and Sunday 16th June. This 'Vivid' competition flight is $44pp. and each person will taste the same three wines for the entirety of the competition.

You'll need to guess the following 4 criteria:
~ Varietal
~ Region
~ Vintage
~ Winemaker

The wines are all made by women, obvs, and are all from Australia, but have never been shown or served at Famelia before. 

Prizes!!!

(The main prize: ‘cred’, obvs.)

• BRONZE: If you can correctly guess the three varietals - we’ll give you a Famelia bottle opener 
• SILVER: If you can correctly guess the three varietals, AND the three regions ~ we’ll give you a newly released Famelia 'Chenin Chenin Chenin' cap (plus a bottle opener)
• GOLD: If you can correctly guess the three varietals, AND the three regions, AND the three vintages ~ we’ll give you 2 tickets to a Famelia Wine Event (plus a cap and bottle opener).
• DIAMOND: If you can correctly guess the three varietals, AND the three regions, AND three vintages, AND the three woman winemakers ~ we’ll give you a year’s worth of bloody great wine made by women (plus a cap and bottle opener).

Terms + Conditions

Welcome to Famelia's wine flight competition: Taste In The Dark, Light Up Your Palate, in honour of Vivid 2024. Please read the following terms and conditions carefully before entering.

1. Competition Duration: The competition begins at 4pm on Wednesday, 29th May 2024 and finishes at 9pm on Sunday, 16th June 2024. The winners will be announced on Wednesday, 26th June 2024 via Instagram and email.

2. The Prize: The prizes vary based on the level of correct guesses:

• Bronze: A Famelia bottle opener for correctly guessing the three varietals of the mystery wines.
• Silver: A Famelia cap and a bottle opener for correctly guessing the three varietals and the three regions of the mystery wines.
• Gold: 2 tickets to a Famelia Wine Event up to $88pp. to be used within 12 months, a cap, and a bottle opener for correctly guessing the three varietals, the three regions, and the three vintages of the mystery wines.
• Diamond: A 12 month subscription to Famelia’s mixed 6-packs of wine, with each 6-pack to be delivered every three (3) months. This amounts to a total of four (4) 6-packs to be delivered over the 12 month period, with a combined maximum price of $1,000 including delivery. Diamond winners will also receive a cap, and a bottle opener for correctly guessing the three (3) varietals, the three regions, the three (3) vintages, and the three (3) woman winemakers. If more than three (3) entries are eligible for the diamond prize - the first three (3) entires in order of submission will receive the diamond prize, and any additional winners will be invited to another (free) blind tasting, where anyone who correctly guesses the next three (3) wines will receive a single mixed 6-pack of wine.

3. Eligibility and Entry: Participants must be over 18 years old to enter. To be in the running, participants must successfully submit Famelia’s competition form with their 3 guesses, and provide their name, email address, and DOB. Each participant may only enter once, however, they are welcome to purchase unlimited ‘vivid wine flights’.

4. Selection of Winners: Winners will be chosen based on the accuracy of their guesses. The more accurate the guess, the higher the prize tier.

5. Claiming the Prize: Winners will be notified via Instagram and email. They can claim their prize by responding to the notification/contacting Famelia. For Bronze and Silver prizes, winners need to collect from Famelia ~ 55 Enmore Road, Newtown NSW 2042. If this is not possible for any reason, then please contact Famelia directly to confirm shipping costs. Winners will have three (3) months to claim their prizes, with the exception of the Gold prize, which can be redeemed within 12 months.

6. Unclaimed Prizes: If a winner does not claim their prize with three (3) months, the prize will be forfeited.

7. Misconduct: If cheating is suspected. Famelia has the right to cancel the competition.

8. Loyalty Program + Newsletter: By entering this competition, participants agree to being signed up to Famelia's Loyalty Program and general newsletter communications.

9. Privacy Policy: By entering this competition, participants agree to Famelia’s Privacy Policy. This policy outlines how we use and protect the information provided by participants. For more details, please visit our Privacy Policy.
