2022 Christina Wines Grüner Veltliner

Christina Netzl grew up in the vineyards of Carnuntum, where the art of winemaking was not just a profession but a way of life. Her journey from a farm that bred pigs and grew grains to a winery that spans 28 hectares is a testament to her dedication and love for viticulture.

With a rich legacy of classic wine production inherited from her father, Christina’s passion for oenology led her to pursue further knowledge in wine management. Her internship in London opened her eyes to the vast diversity of wines across the globe, particularly the charm of organically produced varieties by small-scale artisans.

Returning to her roots in 2007, Christina, alongside her husband, embraced the challenge of encapsulating the unique essence of Carnuntum in their wines. Their commitment to sustainability and natural harmony saw a transition to organic production in 2013, a decision inspired by their daughters and a deep respect for the land.

Today, Christina’s creativity flourishes in every bottle, from the wines that celebrate the typicity of their origin to the natural wine range that honours ancient production styles. With their 2018 vintage, they embarked on the certification process, a proud affirmation of their efforts in organic viticulture.
