'Picnic Wines' 3-Pack
Who doesn't love a picnic?! This mix of wines will suit everyone, and are great for sharing.
April's Picnic Wines 3-Pack includes:
1. 2023 Moorooduc Pinot Gris on Skins
Pinot Gris | Mornington Peninsula, VIC | Kate McIntyre | Moorooduc Estate
This isn’t your usual Pinot Gris. This skinsy, watermelon-pink delight from Kate McIntyre bursts with floral aromas of rose petal and violet, mixed in with some pickled ginger, rhubarb, and red plum. A playful palate blends tangy red berries and Moroccan spice... with just the right amount of tannin to keep things fresh and crunchy.
2. 2024 Foreign Friends ‘Ada’ Nebbiolo Rosé
Nebbiolo | King Valley, VIC | Leila + Crystal Davis, Juliette Menneteau | Foreign Friends
Hello Ada, a Nebbiolo Rosé that’s all zingy acidity, grapefruit pith, and bright bursts of strawberry and peach. These Nebbiolo grapes started their journey in Beechworth’s honey-hued high country before being pressed off skins and aged in old French oak over winter. The result? A crisp, dry, and dangerously food-friendly rosé that pairs with just about anything. Light on its feet but full of personality, Ada’s the kind of friend who always gets an invite to dinner.
3. 2022 Grape Pirates Pinot Noir
Pinot Noir | Orange, NSW | Rebecca (Bex) Milne + Aaron Onegin-Ward | Grape Pirates
This one's big on flavour! The 2022 Pinot Noir is fresh, vibrant, and just a little bit wild - kind of like the winemakers behind it. Juicy raspberry, pomegranate, and rosehip jelly take the lead, with ripe persimmon, dark chocolate, and a cheeky hint of aniseed bringing it home. It’s got structured acidity, furry tannins, and a little bit of cloudiness. Aged for 16 months in old French oak and bottled unfined and unfiltered, this one’s all about letting the fruit do its thing.
