If you're looking for a refreshing and complex white wine, look no further than the Merritt Chenin Blanc 2020. This wine is made from grapes grown on a single vineyard near the Indian Ocean. It's wild fermented in a mix of new and old French oak barrels, giving it a rich texture and mouthfeel. The wine is also unfined and unfiltered, preserving its natural character and flavour. The result is a wine that is tight (it holds its personality), appley, with a long-lasting aftertaste.

Wines of Merritt is a small-batch, low-intervention project from Margaret River. Nick (Maker) and his wife Sarah (Master) make wines that are expressive, textured, and characterful, using left of centre varieties and techniques. They source their grapes from single vineyards that reflect the terroir and climate of the region, and they avoid fining and filtering to preserve the natural beauty of the wine. They were inspired by Nick's great-grandparents, Forrester and Prim Merritt, who established Kingston-on-Murray as a temperance village in 1894. They honour their legacy by making wines that are particularly good and worthy of attention.
